PACPATH Workshop II in Suva, Fiji

The Pacific Ocean Pathways Fiji Workshop scheduled on 14 – 16th February, 2023 will be a platform for scientists, policy makers, practitioners, iTaukei authorities and other important stakeholders to work on ways to address the effects of climate change on key environmental resources in Fiji.

The workshop will take place at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji and will include 3 days of discussions with relevant stakeholders.

The topics of discussion will incorporate Indigenous and local knowledge and gender equity as a foundation while discussing:

  1. Island habitability in the context of coastal erosion and sea level rise
  2. Food security in the context of coral reef health including mangrove, seagrass and coral
